Blackwater AKA Blackwater Buccaneers is a small gaming community started by Neavu, Drocer, Baserkah, and friends in 2007.
ORIGINS
Blackwater began as a casual World of Warcraft guild on the North American server Magtheridon.
Most of our guild members enjoyed eating a special food called Deviate Delight in-game which allowed characters to change their appearance to that of a ninja or pirate and thus our pirate-themed World of Warcraft guild began.
One day Neavu and Baserkah were brainstorming guild names while exploring Arathi Highlands and stumbled upon a secret pirate cove inhabited by the Blackwater Raiders. They combined ‘Blackwater’ and ‘Buccaneers’ courtesy of the Bloodsail Buccaneers of Stranglethorn Bay, and Blackwater Buccaneers was born. In the early days, when not exploring or raiding in World of Warcraft, members enjoyed making machinima (videos made using video game footage), and meeting up for lan parties.
